What we collect
When you request a capability briefing, the form asks for four details. All four are needed to send a request.
- Organization
- The name of the organization you represent.
- Work email
- Your work email address, so we can reply to you.
- Capability of interest
- The capability area you want to discuss: Drone software, Counter-drone software, Autonomy software, or Battlefield software.
- Message
- What you write about your request.
We also record the date and time each request is received.
Please do not include classified or otherwise sensitive information in your message. A first request only needs the basics.
To protect the form from abuse, the website uses your IP address to limit how many requests can be sent in a short period. The address is held temporarily in server memory for that purpose only and is not stored with your request.
When you visit any page, your browser sends standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to the server that delivers the website. It is used to deliver pages and keep the website secure. Our hosting provider may record it in server logs as part of operating the service.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or other tracking tools, and it does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third-party services. The Cookie notice describes the one cookie it uses, which is for staff only.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- Responding to your request
- We use the details you submit to review your request, reply to you and arrange a capability briefing. Where you contact us about a possible contract, this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into it (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Otherwise, we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to organizations that ask about our capabilities (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Operating a secure website
- We use technical data to deliver the website, prevent abuse of the form and keep the website secure. We rely on our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Legal obligations
- Where the law requires us to keep or disclose information, we process it to comply with that obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
We use your data only for these purposes. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Who receives it
Briefing requests are available only to authorized members of the Skyrivet team who handle them, through a private, password-protected area of the website.
When a request arrives, the team receives a short email alert with the name of the organization and the capability area, and a link to the private area. The alert does not include your email address or your message.
The providers that host the website, store its data and deliver these email alerts process personal data on our behalf and on our instructions, as processors.
We may disclose personal data where the law requires it, for example to a competent public authority. We do not share it with any other third party.
International transfers
Skyrivet is operated by a company established in the United States, so the details you send are handled outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
Our hosting and email providers may also process data outside the EEA. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the safeguards the GDPR requires, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep a briefing request, and any correspondence about it, for as long as we need it to handle the request and any related follow-up. After that, we delete it.
If the law requires us to keep certain information for longer, we keep it only for that purpose and only for as long as required.
IP addresses used to protect the form exist only in server memory, for a short time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification
- Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Erasure
- Ask us to delete your data.
- Restriction
- Ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Objection
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Portability
- Receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or ask us to send it to another organization.
- Complaint
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU member state where you live, where you work or where you believe your rights were infringed.
Some of these rights apply only in certain circumstances, as set out in the GDPR.
How to exercise your rights
Email hello@skyrivet.it. Tell us which right you want to exercise and give the work email address you used in the form, so we can find your request.
We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on your request. Exercising your rights is normally free of charge.
