Capability 03 · Autonomy software

Uncrewed systems that work together.

Autonomy software for forces that operate groups of uncrewed systems: it shares tasks across systems, teams them with crewed units and keeps them working when signals are jammed.

For

  • Army and special forces units
  • Air forces and navies
  • Defense research and innovation agencies

03Challenges

Operational challenges

What gets in the way in the field, and how Skyrivet addresses it.

  1. 01

One operator per drone does not scale.

Skyrivet Swarm lets one operator direct a group of systems that share the tasks among themselves.

  2. 02

Crewed and uncrewed systems work side by side but not together.

Skyrivet Team links uncrewed systems to crewed vehicles and aircraft, with the crew always in charge.

  3. 03

Jamming cuts the link and satellite navigation.

Skyrivet Navigate keeps systems on course and under control when signals are degraded.

03Platform

One platform, open by design.

Three products that add autonomy to uncrewed systems from different manufacturers, with people in charge of every decision that matters.

Products

  • Skyrivet Swarm
  • Skyrivet Team
  • Skyrivet Navigate
  • Interoperability

Designed to work with STANAG 4586 for vehicle control and Cursor-on-Target for shared positions, and to run on the onboard computers of different platforms.

  • Deployment

Runs on board the uncrewed systems, on rugged laptops and in the operations center, with or without a network connection.

  • Security

Encrypted links between systems, role-based access, and a log of every task assigned and every action taken.

03Use cases

Use cases

How units use Skyrivet software in real missions.

  1. Macro of a dark blue printed circuit board with gold contact pads and fine copper traces
    01 / 03

    Swarm reconnaissance

    Scenario

A unit needs to watch a wide area at once, with more drones than it has operators.

    How Skyrivet is used

    • The operator sets the area and the priorities.
    • Skyrivet Swarm divides the area among the drones and adjusts as they move.
    • If a drone is lost, the others take over its part of the task.
    • The operator keeps the final say on every action.
  2. Hands on a drone ground controller with a tablet showing a map view
    02 / 03

    Crewed-uncrewed teaming

    Scenario

A vehicle crew sends uncrewed systems ahead to look and listen before the vehicle moves into exposed ground.

    How Skyrivet is used

    • The crew assigns tasks from the vehicle.
    • Skyrivet Team keeps the systems in formation and in contact.
    • Observations reach the crew in the shared picture.
    • The crew approves every action that matters.
  3. Electronics workbench with bench power supply, ultrasonic sensors, LCD module, hand tools and a drone
    03 / 03

    Operations under jamming

    Scenario

In contested areas, satellite navigation and radio links are jammed for long periods.

    How Skyrivet is used

    • Skyrivet Navigate switches to visual and inertial navigation.
    • Systems hold their task when the link drops.
    • They resume contact and report when the link returns.
    • Every degraded period is logged for analysis.

Why Skyrivet

Why Skyrivet

  1. 01

    Built for defense

Skyrivet builds software only for defense and security users. Interfaces, workflows and documentation are designed for operators under pressure, not adapted from consumer products.

  2. 02

    Modular

Each product works on its own and with the others. Start with the module you need and add the rest when the mission calls for it.

  3. 03

    Open integration

Designed to work with open defense standards and documented interfaces, so Skyrivet software fits the sensors, vehicles and command systems you already have.

  4. 04

    Your infrastructure, your data

The software runs on your own servers, on sovereign cloud or at the edge. Mission data stays on infrastructure you control.

  5. 05

    Quick to deploy

Packaged to install on standard servers and rugged laptops, with operator training included, so units can move from evaluation to use without a long integration project.

03Who uses it

Who uses it

  • Land forces

Drone and robotic units, reconnaissance and support.

  • Air forces and navies

Teaming with crewed aircraft and ships.

  • Special forces

Operations in contested areas with few operators.

  • Research and innovation agencies

    Experimentation and evaluation programs.

Frequently asked questions

Who decides what the systems do?

People do. Autonomy takes on routine tasks such as navigation and coordination. Every action that matters requires an operator's approval.

Does it work with the drones we already have?

Skyrivet autonomy software is designed to run on platforms from different manufacturers. We assess your platforms together during the first call.

What happens if the link is lost?

Systems continue the task within the limits set by the operator, and report as soon as contact returns.

Is the software available in our country?

Availability depends on export control rules for each country and end user. We confirm it for your organization during the first call.
