Our approach
We want everyone to be able to use this website, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader or other assistive technology. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, as our reference when we design and build it.
What we have done
- Structure
- Pages use headings, landmarks and lists, with one main heading per page, so assistive technology can present and navigate them.
- Keyboard
- Links, menus and form controls can be reached and used with a keyboard. A "Skip to content" link at the top of each page leads past the navigation.
- Focus
- The element that has keyboard focus is clearly outlined.
- Motion
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animations are shortened or switched off and slideshows do not play automatically.
- Color contrast
- Text and background color tokens are chosen to meet the WCAG level AA contrast ratio.
- Forms
- Every form field has a visible label. Errors are described in text and linked to the field they refer to.
- Images
- Images that carry information have text alternatives.
Conformance status
This statement does not claim formal conformance with WCAG. Some parts of the website may still be difficult to use with certain assistive technologies, and we work to fix issues as we find them.
